Inspired by an obsessive quest for the perfect Negroni, Ester's journey began over 10 years ago with a tiny still in the backyard of our Newtown digs. Ester Strong Gin won ‘Best in Show’ at the Australian Gin Awards in its first month of launching and shortly after that took out the title of ‘World's Best Navy Gin’ at the World Gin Awards in 2021.
Simply put, making gin using the landscape of Heathcote as the palate is not only exciting but also niche. Nowhere in the world can a spirit be created quite like the one inspired by Heathcote to produce a ‘Spirit of the Region’.
